Our History
Founded in 1995, Steptron Technologies Inc. was built on a simple belief: industrial safety should protect people without slowing production. As a family-founded company, Steptron was grounded in integrity, innovation, and long-term customer relationships.
From the beginning, we focused on delivering practical, field-proven safety solutions that help manufacturers improve compliance, reduce downtime, and operate more efficiently. By working closely with maintenance teams, engineers, and plant leadership, Steptron earned a reputation for solving complex safety challenges in demanding industrial environments.
Over time, we became highly specialized in task-specific Controlled Access Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) placarding and hazardous energy control programs. Our approach prioritizes isolating only the energy sources required for a specific maintenance task whenever possible, helping facilities maintain productivity while supporting safety and compliance.
In 2025, Steptron joined Rockford Systems LLC and now operates as Steptron, a Division of Rockford Systems LLC. This transition strengthened our ability to deliver integrated machine safeguarding and industrial safety solutions across a broader range of industries.
